  • Paul joined the DATA Group in July 1987 as Controller. Since that time, he has held positions with increasing responsibility within the company, now serving as its Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining DATA, he was Controller in the Financial Post Division Information Services Group, and worked with the internal audit group at Maclean-Hunter Limited. He is a graduate of Ryerson Polytechnical Institute – now Ryerson University – and received his Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University in June 1998. He also holds a Certified Management Accountant designation, received in 1982.
  • Thomas R. Spencer has been a corporate director since 2003, when he retired from a 27 year career with the TD Bank Financial Group. Starting in commercial lending and corporate finance in Toronto and New York, Mr. Spencer moved to the risk management area in 1994 as Senior Vice President, Risk Management Policy Group. From 1998 to 2002 he served as the Bank's Executive Vice President, Risk Management and during 2002-2003 was Vice Chair, Risk Management. Mr. Spencer holds a BA and a MBA from York University. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Jim Pattison Group, Kruger Inc. and Vismand Exploration Inc. and remains a member of the Advisory Committees of TD Capital Canadian Private Equity Partners, TD Capital Equity Investors and TD Capital Mezzanine Partners.
  • Ronald A. Fotheringham has continued his strategic planning consulting work in his personal company, Stoney Lake Management Consulting. Prior to retirement in 2001, Mr. Fotheringham was a partner with Tandem International, one of Canada's leading management consulting firms, specializing in the marketing and sales disciplines. During his 28 years with the firm, his responsibilities included serving as Managing Partner of the firm's marketing practice and as Chairman of Tandem, prior to the firm's merger with Towers Perrin in 1998. Before joining Tandem, Mr. Fotheringham worked for 11 years at Procter & Gamble in the Research & Development and Marketing departments. Mr. Fotheringham has a Bachelors Degree in Honours Chemistry and a Masters Degree in Business Administration, both from McMaster University. Mr. Fotheringham currently serves on the Board of Directors of Five Counties Children's Centre, the Board of Governors of Sir Sanford Fleming College, and the Board of Directors of The Peterborough Festival of Lights.
  • Derek Ridout has been Director of Shoppers Drug Mart since 2005, and chaired the Special Committee responsible for the sale of Shoppers to Loblaw in 2013. He served as CEO and board member of Silcorp (retailing) from 1991 to 1999. There, he steered the company through a complex and successful restructuring, defending it against a hostile bid, then negotiating its sale to Alimentation Couche-Tard at a significant premium to the earlier bid by Couche-Tard. He was recruited by Legg Mason to be CEO of Perigee Canada (investment management) following the purchase of Perigee by Legg Mason in 2001. A director of Perigee, Mr. Ridout was on the Special Committee to sell the company. He was a director of Saxon Financial from 2004 to 2007 (investment management), and has been a director of Richards Packaging since 2004. His career encompasses over 30 years in progressively senior roles in both consumer goods and retail organizations.
  • Michael joined DATA in 1985 with a post secondary degree from the University of Toronto and has held progressively more senior sales and marketing positions leading to Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In November 2004, Mr. Suksi left DATA and from then until November 2006, was Vice President, Sales at Transcontinental Inc., one of Canada's largest print and media organizations. In late 2006, Michael returned to DATA as President of DATA East, with a wider perspective of the industry and technology-driven solutions. He immediately began the ultimately successful integration of Relizon Canada Inc. into DATA. In October 2010, Michael was appointed President and CEO of The DATA Group of Companies. In February 2011 DATA launched a transformational new strategic profile (view INVESTOR PRESENTATION).
  • John H. Greenhough has extensive experience in the printing industry. From 1972 to 1980, he was Vice President & General Manager of the Data Group, and served as President and CEO of the Company from 1981 to 1997, and as managing director from 1997 until May 2000. Mr. Greenhough also held a number of positions within Maclean Hunter Limited, including service on the Management Committee and Group President of Printing. Mr. Greenhough has served on the boards of directors of a number of printing industry companies in both Canada and the United States, including Davis + Henderson, Jasper Printing and General Business Forms, the Yorkville Group of Companies, Label Art and Transkrit Corporation. Throughout his career, Mr. Greenhough has also served in several major printing industry associations in Canada, Europe and the United States. Mr. Greenhough graduated in 1962 from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
  • William Albino has been a Director of the company since August 8, 2012. Prior to his retirement in 2011, Mr. Albino was Chief Executive Officer of Smart Systems for Health, an Agency of the Ontario Government charged with developing and implementing electronic health records for all Ontarians. Before that assignment, Mr. Albino was an Executive Vice President of EDS Canada, responsible, at various times, for the EDS's business in the Telecommunications, Government, and Manufacturing sectors. He spent two years as head of his own consulting company while acting as an independent investor in start-up technology companies. Mr. Albino's longest employment - 25 years - was with Xerox Corporation where he held numerous positions, in both Canada and the US, culminating in his assignment as Vice-President and General Manager of the company's largest division. Mr. Albino has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Business Administration from The Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He is presently a director of The Aurora Historical Society and the Big Brother and Sisters Council of Champions.

  • Kurt is a strategic operations executive with 27 years' experience driving transformative change in Fortune 500 companies. His accomplishments include building out operations to support 500% business growth; leading major corporate restructurings; implementing leading-edge technology; and leading post-acquisition business integrations. His career includes senior leadership and executive roles at Procter & Gamble, Alliance Data Systems and, most recently, within the medical device manufacturing field. Kurt is a champion of change management, process improvement and innovation, and strives to deliver breakthrough results for clients. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science, Chemical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario.
  • A thought leader and influencer for global outsourced marketing communication services, Paul has delivered a range of initiatives and business programs that transform; innovate, address problems and support opportunities. Paul relocated from England, where he previously worked with Xerox Global Services and Williams Lea as a key leader in the global development and sale of outsourcing agreements that included digital and print marketing communications. He has a wealth of experience in developing and implementing innovative communications outsourcing agreements that deliver value to customers.
  • Diane is a highly motivated operations professional whose extensive experience has led to improvements at DATA in the form of internal plant efficiencies, streamlined workflows and consolidated facilities. Together these have resulted in more reliable operations, enhanced customer service and higher levels of quality. Joining the company in 1978, she has held progressively senior roles at the company, and currently oversees all operational aspects of DATA East’s rotary plants, warehousing, distribution and logistics centres, strategic sourcing, vendor management, and engineering groups. She holds a post-secondary degree from York University and a Certificate of Operations Management from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
  • Rick has more than 30 years of experience in communications management, entering the industry in 1980 and eventually holding progressively senior sales and marketing roles within DATA. He engineered one of the company’s largest print outsource initiatives, and led the set-up of DATA's first digital print facility in Calgary. Now leading all sales and marketing activities for Western Canada, he is one of the original architects of DATAOnline, which hosts 17,000 users, as well as DATA’s evolving e-commerce and web-to-print solutions. Rick holds a Business Diploma from Red River College and has completed the Executive Marketing Program at Queen’s School of Business.
  • Judy is an accomplished business leader, with progressive HR leadership experience with Fortune 500 companies. As a recognized thought leader she brings to DATA extensive experience of driving transformative change in the areas of strategy development, sales culture transformation and organizational capability. As aCulture and Change Navigator she has successfully designed and implemented new corporate cultures, organizational structures and systems and led organizations through successful change initiatives while retaining overall employee engagement

     As the business leader within the HR function she enhances organizational effectiveness and competitiveness by providing HR leadership, support and programs that are aligned with DATA’s business goals, objectives and strategy. She has deep expertise in the areas of Talent Management, Culture and Change Management (Organization and Sales), Organizational Design/Work Process Design, Business Leadership - Strategic Process Development.

    She is a graduate of the Advanced HR Program, Executive Program, Rotman School of Management and obtained her Global Human Resources Certification in  2007 (SHRM) and is a graduate of the University of Windsor, Honours, Bachelor, Human Kinetics.

  • Steve is a strategic thought leader with more than 20 years of experience in the graphic communications industry. Having spent more than 15 of them with DATA, he leads both the DATA East and FSA sales teams and holds direct responsibility for several of the company’s largest client relationships, including Bank of Montreal and Manulife/John Hancock. He has played a fundamental role in solution development at DATA, and has helped numerous clients adopt greener, leaner communications strategies. A superior communicator and influential manager, he has a demonstrated ability to lead change in a B2B sales environment and deliver proven solutions to clients. He holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Regina.
  • Alan is a highly respected industry leader with an extensive background in digital print, publishing and marketing communications. A digital process pioneer, he has helped lead the migration from traditional offset to digital technologies, building a career that includes high-level positions at The Printing House, Patient News Publishing and Xerox Canada. He has many firsts among his accomplishments, such as implementing the first IGEN in Canada; developing the first print-on-demand go-to-market strategy; creating the first large-scale customer satisfaction program; and providing leadership for the first web-to-print system in North America. He has studied Marketing Management at the Richard Ivey School of Business.
  • Ian brings to DATA a proven record of success in the technology and professional services sectors. Having gained valuable experience working in progressively senior positions with international exposure, at IBM, Keane Canada, The Innovation Group and ARC Business Solutions, he is skilled at building highly motivated teams that deliver sustainable results. He currently leads the team responsible for the definition, development and execution of DATA’s Document and Business Process Outsourcing offering. He holds a Business Degree and Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from Charles Sturt University in Australia.
  • Colin is responsible for marketing support and implementation of DATA’s contracted services, and plays a key role in development of e-commerce solutions, document management tools, and digital marketing services. Coming to DATA from Kodak’s Digital Imaging Division, he has led DATA West’s Strategic Services for the past 12 years, successfully implementing and supporting more than 70 major contracts in Western Canada alone. His team of dedicated Technical Service Analysts works closely with DATA’s account management team — along with other DATA sales resources, IT staff, business analysts, and operations specialists — to ensure all customer objectives are met. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta and has completed its Project Management Program. He also has completed the Queen’s School of Business Marketing Program and E-Commerce Development Program.
